It is my great pleasure to support Kayla Sarno in her application for admission.  As a composer, producer, professional pianist and vocalist, and founder of Westchester Home Music LLC who holds an MA in Music Education and a BA from Berklee College of Music graduating Magna Cum Laude, I am aware of the inherent challenges that a serious music student will face, and I have no doubt that Kayla will succeed in her academic and music career.

 

Kayla has been a music student, friend, and collaborator of mine for two years studying piano, voice, songwriting, theory, composition, and production. Kayla is fearless in her music pursuits.   In all of my years of teaching, producing, and performing, I have never encountered a young musician as prolific and driven as Kayla.  

 

I have been very impressed by her strong work ethic and ability to comprehend new material.  I find Kayla’s musicality original, highly intelligent, and inspired.  Her music continues to grow both in depth and musicianship.  She is a true artist.  Kayla already shows exceptional accomplishment and leadership ability.  Her interpersonal skills are highly developed, she is affable, reliable, passionate, and organized.  I have no question in my mind that Kayla will excel at your fine institution and should be given every possible consideration in her application for admission.  It is with honesty and great pleasure that I give Kayla Sarno my highest recommendation.
